Texans Get 3-1 Win Versus Sunrise Manor
Sunrise Manor third baseman Kevin Lightfoot had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Lightfoot was 2-4 with a home run, even as Corpus Christi beat the Sunchasers, 3-1. Sam Betourne picked up the save, his 2nd. The win puts Corpus Christi at 53-84.

Corpus Christi center fielder Randy Reneau landed a blow when he belted a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 16th home run of the season. With it, the Texans took a 2-0 lead.

Corpus Christi manager James Beatty commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
