Crystal Lake got a decent performance from pitcher Ricardo Sanchez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chuluota Imperials. Chuluota won the Imperials Ballpark contest, 3-2. Sanchez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Picking up the save was Jay Altieri, his 2nd. The win gives Chuluota a season record of 34-34.
Aaron Lindsey drove in one run for Chuluota. The 20-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ricardo Sanchez. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
Crystal Lake manager Steve Warzecha said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
