The Crystal Lake Killers had to overcome a good performance from Sunrise Manor pitcher Asakichi Funaki to claim a 2-1 win at Field of the Sunchasers. Funaki went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. After today's action, Crystal Lake sits at 32-29; Sunrise Manor slips to 24-37.
Crystal Lake used the hitting of Brian Kilcoyne to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Killers on top, 1-0. For the game, Kilcoyne had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
