Wolverines Defeated, 5-3, After Corpus Christi Rallies
The Corpus Christi Texans knocked off the Riverside Wolverines, 5-3, in Southern Conference action at Whataburger Field. Corpus Christi pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Chris Rodriguez had an outstanding performance. The defeat makes Riverside 26-28.

Corpus Christi took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Charlie Jones hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Texans in front, 4-3.

Corpus Christi manager Cory Schreck called it "a darn good win."
