Killers Take Down Sunchasers, 7-6
|
The Crystal Lake Killers grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers at Killer Stadium. Crystal Lake right fielder Ray Geltz went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Killers saw their record improve to 33-23.
Rafael Miranda played the role of hero for Crystal Lake. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Leo Najera to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"I still think this team can play even better," Miranda told the Crystal Lake Daily News.
