A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Bernardino Flight and Buckeye Local Panthers.

The San Bernardino Flight downed the Buckeye Local Panthers, 12-6. The hitting star was shortstop Gregg Carter. Carter belted 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times for the Flight. Jim Unknown nailed down his 1st save.

Carter contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for San Bernardino in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-2, Carter took a fastball from Jim Unknown and stroked the home run to right. His 24th home run of the season allowed the Flight to leap in front, 5-4.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Carter. "It sure beats the alternative."

The Flight are now 24-30.
