Getting offensive support from D'Andre Lyons, the Haviland Thrashers topped the Jacksonville Nationals, 13-4. Lyons went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Thrashers. Ben Cox picked up the save, his 1st. The Thrashers raised their record to 30-20.

With Haviland leading 5-2 in the top of the fourth, Lyons batted against Jacksonville pitcher Hector Valdez. Lyons hit a forkball to left for a 3-run home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Thrashers on top, 8-2.

"We maximized our offense today," said Haviland skipper Bill Mason. "That makes everyone's life easier."
