Thrashers Rally to Eke Out Win
The Haviland Thrashers defeated the Jacksonville Nationals, 9-8, in 12 innings. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Damien Przybylski, who belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times for the Thrashers. Mike Driskell claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. The Thrashers saw their win-loss record go to 29-19. At the same time, the Nationals fell to 25-23.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Przybylski delivered big-time for Haviland, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off David Koontz. The game-changing hit put the Thrashers on top, 9-8.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Przybylski, "but we got it done."
