The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes defeated the Crystal Lake Killers, 10-3, at Killer Stadium. Ft. Wayne was led by 17-year old catcher Ramon Gonzales, who was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Ft. Wayne is second in the Southern Conference East Division with a record of 37-12.

Ft. Wayne needed the clutch hitting of Jose Saenz to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 4-3. For the game, Saenz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
