Earthquakes Get Hard-Earned Win
Ft. Wayne turned a fine outing from starter Miguel Guzman into a victory over the Chuluota Imperials at Imperials Ballpark. The final score was 1-0. Ken Phillips earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Ray LeCain earned the save for Ft. Wayne, his 13th.

Kan Yamagata came through with a big-time hit for Ft. Wayne. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like what I saw today," said Ft. Wayne manager Du-sung Moon, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

After today's action, Ft. Wayne sits at 31-10, while Chuluota falls to 25-16.
