Wolverines Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
|
Yoshitimo Hirata led Jacksonville to a win over Riverside. The final score was 5-3. The Shizuoka, Japan native collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Jacksonville reliever Hidenori Miyata picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Danny Vasquez took the loss. The Nationals improved their record to 19-18 with the win over Riverside.
With Jacksonville leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Hirata batted against Riverside pitcher Danny Vasquez. Hirata hit a slider to right for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Nationals on top, 5-1.
