Wolverines Snatch Late Win
Riverside right fielder Don Hutchison was instrumental in helping the Wolverines triumph, 8-5, over the Haviland Thrashers. Hutchison hit 2 home runs. Riverside reliever Dermot Howe got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Adam Noland was tagged with the loss. Bobby Villasenor earned the save for Riverside, his 6th.

Riverside used a clutch hit from Adam Persons to get the win. The first baseman thumped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wolverines in front, 8-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a whopper.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Persons.

Riverside is 13-17 and Haviland, with the loss, 18-12.
