Nationals Win 7-6 Walk-Off
The Jacksonville Nationals had to overcome a big game from Crystal Lake center fielder Manuel Martinez to leave Nationals Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Martinez was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Eric Grace picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Brian Kyzar suffered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Nationals.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 20-year old second baseman Yoshitimo Hirata had a chance to be the hero. Crystal Lake pitcher Brian Kyzar had other ideas. But with one out, Hirata hit a sacrifice fly. The Nationals had themselves a dramatic win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Crystal Lake manager Josh Lewis. "The effort was great."
