Killers Slap 5-4 Loss on Jacksonville
Crystal Lake beat Jacksonville at Killer Stadium, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to second baseman Mike Chaloux. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Albert Garcia earned the save, his 4th, for the Killers. The defeat makes Jacksonville 12-14.

With Crystal Lake leading 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Chaloux batted against Jacksonville pitcher Alex Arredondo. Chaloux hit a fastball to left for a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Killers on top, 5-1.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Chaloux said in reaction to the win.
