Boosted by the 4-hit performance of Valentino Ponchielli, who is tied for 10th in the SC in triples with 1, the Riverside Wolverines defeated the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Miguel Crespo. His record now stands at 1-2. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing no runs on 9 hits for the Wolverines. To call the performance of the 2025 Sunchasers subpar is an understatement.

In the top of the seventh, Victor Barrera stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Sunchasers were trailing 7-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Sergio Rivera made a terrific pitch and Barrera grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Sunrise Manor comeback.
