Wolverines Score Late to Upend Sunchasers, 11-10
The Riverside Wolverines turned back the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 11-10, at Wolverines Ballpark. Ismael Calderon, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Now 3-19, the 2025 Sunchasers have been wretched so far.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 18-year old first baseman Ryan Gribble had a real shot to win the game. Sunrise Manor pitcher Ryu Masumoto was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Gribble hit a 2-run single. The Wolverines had a walk-off triumph.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Calderon said.
