Sunchasers Drop 3-1 Decision
|
The Buckeye Local Panthers used a great performance from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo to beat the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 3-1, at Field of the Sunchasers. Castillo got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Roberto Ahumada picked up the save, his 1st.
Oscar Ramirez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he hit a 2-2 fastball from Cortez Alavez for a 2-run home run, to give Buckeye Local a 2-0 lead.
"We'll build on this win," said Castillo.
Buckeye Local is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.
