The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes beat the Crystal Lake Killers, 3-0, at Killer Stadium. Ft. Wayne designated hitter Justin Dawson had an outstanding performance. He belted 2 home runs. The save went to Marcos Patino, his 6th this season. The Killers fall to 6-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2024.

Ft. Wayne took a 2-0 lead on Dawson's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Ben Foster in the top of the eighth, propelled Ft. Wayne to the win.

"We've been playing some good baseball," Dawson told the Ft. Wayne Observer. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
