Bellflowers Get Past Saint Pierre and Miquelon for 3-2 Win
|
Buffalo Bellflowers starter Keith Carter pitched a strong game against the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates at Spinners Ballpark, leading the Bellflowers to victory, 3-2. The winner in relief was Steve Ray. He is now 5-4. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Pedro Tello earned the save for Buffalo, his 35th.
Buffalo used a clutch hit from Ben Hurt to snatch the win. The third baseman belted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bellflowers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"Keith was able to execute his pitches," said Buffalo manager Andy Perez. "Simple as that."
With the win, the Bellflowers hiked their record to 75-54.
