The Buffalo Bellflowers converted a terrific effort from starter Antonio Corona into a win over the Whitby Bats at Eláguila Stadia. The Bellflowers won the game by a final score of 3-2. The Bellflowers improved to a lofty 93-38.
Alex Melo, who leads the NC in total bases with 399, had a direct impact on the outcome. Melo contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-0.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Melo told the Buffalo Chronicle.
