The Lincoln Princes outscored the Buffalo Bellflowers, 14-12. Among the hitting stars was center fielder Israel Vallejo. Vallejo, who is tied for 10th in the NC in bases on balls with 39, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Princes move to 33-45 with the win, while the Bellflowers drop to 53-25.

Lincoln got a clutch hit from Howie Hecht. The catcher launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Hecht said.
