Multi-HR Game for Cotton in 14-11 Win
The Buffalo Bellflowers defeated the Whitby Bats, 14-11, in part because of second baseman John Cotton. Cotton was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Bellflowers. Rich Bryan was the winner. He's now 8-2. The loser was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Price. Mike Cousin finished the game for Buffalo and earned his 12th save.

Early in the game, center fielder Marcos Cortez had a bases-clearing triple for Buffalo. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Bellflowers on top, 3-2.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Cotton told the Buffalo Citizen.

The setback makes Whitby 38-23.
