Archers Prevail, 7-5, Over Terra Linda
|
The Abingdon Archers beat the Terra Linda Chargers, 7-5, at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Abingdon left fielder Justin Fisher had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bobby Gang got credit for the save for Abingdon. It was his 8th of the year. Abingdon is last in the Northern Conference West Division with a record of 21-33.
The Archers got a big at-bat from third baseman Dave Dornan. For the game, Dornan went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Abingdon a 3-0 lead.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Abingdon manager Roberto Enriquez.
