Shiners, Royals Play 11 to Settle Game 3, Charleston Now Leads Series 2-1
John Wright pitched effectively, but the Cincinnati Royals still lost, 5-4, in extra innings to the Charleston Shiners at The Castle. With the win, Charleston took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 Divisional Series. Wright pitched well, allowing 3 runs over 7.1 innings.

Cole Calkins came through with a big-time hit for Charleston. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Calkins.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Castle in Cincinnati.
