The Borrego Springs Rams beat the Long Island Torpedoes, 8-6, at Club Circle Park. Angelo Diaz, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Borrego Springs has now won 5 in a row.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Diaz hit a fastball from Manny Acosta for a 2-run home run. The Rams, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Borrego Springs manager Michael Wright was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
