Atkins Leads Rams to 8-3 Win Over Torpedoes
At Club Circle Park, the Long Island Torpedoes and Borrego Springs Rams were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Borrego Springs Rams grabbed a win, 8-3, over the Long Island Torpedoes at Club Circle Park. Borrego Springs third baseman Elliot Atkins went 4-4 with a triple and 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Shuzo Kimura. He tossed 85 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits.

Atkins contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Borrego Springs get the win.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Long Island skipper Moises Gonzalez.
