The Moncton Mounties battled the Tiverton Colonels into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Mounties won it, finally, 6-3, in 10 innings. In the game, Moncton first baseman Charlie Zimmerman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Moncton, having won 18 in a row, is now 39-2.

Had Zimmerman not come through in the top of the tenth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Zimmerman hit a 3-run home run. The Mounties took the lead, 5-2, and never looked back.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Moncton manager Johnny Hoffman.
