Raney belts 3 home runs, Leads Mounties to Win
The Moncton Mounties defeated the Lincoln Princes, 12-5, in part because of third baseman David Raney. Raney slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6 for the Mounties. Moncton is now 30-10, 3½ games up in the Northern Conference East Division.

Danny Shafer, who is tied for 4th in the NC in doubles with 17, came through for Moncton with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. The left fielder went 3 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Raney told the Moncton Times.
