Rockers Defeat Rams, 4-2

The Plymouth Rockers wanted a good start from Russ Campbell -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Plymouth win over the Borrego Springs Rams at Club Circle Park. Jim Unknown got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. At 17-19, the Rockers are currently 5th in the Northern Conference West Division.
Plymouth used a clutch hit from Chris Sutherland to snatch the win. The designated hitter belted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rockers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Campbell.
