Rob Carvajal made an impact in the 11-8 Lincoln win over Whitby. Carvajal was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Rafael Soliz recorded the save, his 7th. Lincoln occupies third place in the Northern Conference West Division at 14-21.

With Lincoln leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Carvajal hit a grand slam home run off Whitby hurler Josh Poehlein. It was the 3rd home run of the season for Carvajal and put his team ahead, 7-2.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Carvajal.
