Lahab Helps Whitby Bombard Long Island
The Whitby Bats licked the Long Island Torpedoes, 17-4. Naji Lahab deserved a big chunk of the credit. The left fielder went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Bats. Danny Garcia picked up his 1st save of the season. Whitby's record now stands at 22-8, placing them second in the Northern Conference West Division.

Whitby used the hitting of Randy Ruhl to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bats on top, 2-0. For the game, Ruhl had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"I had some good swings out there," said Lahab.
