Mounties Even Record with 5-3 Victory
|
Field of the Colonels was the site of a competitive game between the Tiverton Colonels and Moncton Mounties.
Mike Martinez, who is tied for 2nd in the NC in strikeouts with 45, was locked in. The right-hander led the Moncton Mounties to a 5-3 win against the Tiverton Colonels at Field of the Colonels. The win makes Moncton 16-16.
With a runner on 1st and one out in the top of the seventh inning, center fielder Rafael Farrand delivered big for the Mounties. Moncton was trailing 3-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Farrand said after the game.
