5 Straight Wins for Rams
In a tight contest between the Borrego Springs Rams and the Moncton Mounties, Oscar Villasenor was the determining factor. The Borrego Springs right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. Borrego Springs reliever Roger Rivera picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Alfredo Ayala took the loss. The Rams, now 20-7, have played inspired baseball.

Josh Lewandowski drove in one run for Borrego Springs. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Lewandowski, who is tied for 10th in the NC in doubles with 8, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Moncton hurler Alfredo Ayala, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Rams a 2-1 lead.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Borrego Springs manager Michael Wright. "That's what Oscar is right now."
