The Lincoln Princes banked on Carson Rigney and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Moncton hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Princes. The loss drops Moncton to 13-13.
Lincoln won the game in part because of Tim Lunsford. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Princes ahead, 2-1. For the game, Lunsford had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Rigney. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
