Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Mounties
Moncton registered a win at Club Circle Park by beating the Borrego Springs Rams, 7-4. Pitcher Mark Luby was one reason why the Mounties triumphed. Chris Gabbitas, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Borrego Springs falls to 11-10.

Moncton needed the clutch hitting of Nick Riddle to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mounties on top, 6-4. For the game, Riddle had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Moncton manager Kevin Squillace. "That's what Mark is right now."
