Moncton Makes It 11 Straight with 6-4 Win
|
The Moncton Mounties dealt the Whitby Bats a 6-4 loss at Mapleton Yards. Nick Hunt was the star on offense. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Jose Merino in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Danny Andrade took the loss. Getting the save was Diego Garcia, his 9th.
In the bottom of the eighth, Hunt put his team in front with his 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Danny Andrade, made it 6-4, Moncton.
"This team keeps finding a way to win," said Moncton manager Johnny Hoffman.
The Mounties, now 14-1, have been red hot.
