Alejandro Rivera, who is tied for 5th in the SC in wins with 9, never let the Imperials get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his knuckle curve, to pitch the Flight to a win, 2-0. Rivera yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1. The Flight raised their record to 50-86.

Rob Campbell had a big solo home run for the Flight in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Bernardino leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Williams and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Flight on top, 2-0.
